2003 Croft vintage port
Opaque; modest on the nose with attractive fruit but not a smell that leaps from the glass. Slightly lighter bodied entry than the Skeffington 2003 or the Vargellas Vinha Velha 2004 shown alongside with firm tannins and sweet fruit - but ouch! Those acidity levels hurt! Great fruit on the palate, which leads to an intense fruit driven aftertaste and huge length. Very, very good port. 92/100
