S65, the Dodransbicentennial of the House of Sandeman. Alas I noted no more than ‟Much bigger than ’58 ’60 ’63”.

30% opaque, deep rose in colour. Beautiful fruity nose, lifting out of the glass. Sweet impact, masses of ripe fruit all over the palate — big flavours and a good body. Slight hollowness on swallowing, followed by a gentle, concentrated strawberry finish. Lovely port, balancing elegance and power. 90/100.
Top Port in 2017 (so far): Graham Stone Terraces 2015 and Quinta do Vesuvio 1994
2016 Port of the year: Cockburn 1908
