S77, from the year of the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. About 10k cases made.

60% opaque, but thought by some to be corked. Nonetheless strawberry, dark strawberry, showing in the palate.

80% opaque; deep orange in colour with a dull red core. Flat on the nose, some fruit but barely enough. Fruit is scarce on the palate, but swamped by a bitter dryness. Dry aftertaste, some hints of sweetness, but this has been dried out through TCA contamination. NR.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

The previous ‘permalink’ was not very permanent. Readers might have more luck with www.richardmayson.com/Vintage_Port_Note ... 873__1997/.
