Monday 16th May 2011 - Oscar's in London
Oscar Quevedo is in London on Monday 16th May and I am hoping to meet him for some Port.
From brief conversations over the past 24 hours I believe it is likely that JDAW, RLC and AHB will also be joining us.
There is no agreed plan at this stage other than AHB needs to start early so I, and hopefully some others, will be meeting him at around 4pm. It is likely that the evening will begin at El Vinos in Fleet Street. That is not necessarily where the evening will end.
Anyone else fancy a night of Port-drinking debauchery?

I arrive in London that morning on the red-eye, so declare myself available. Particularly if starting in El-Vinos, since that should mean something rather good is being drunk!

I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly - W.S. Churchill

Oscar has confirmed he will be joining us.
I am now in the Lake District climbing hills until Sunday night. Could someone please take charge of booking a table at El Vinos or TCP? for 4pm?
Thanks
Derek

Unfortunately, AHB will be unable to join us tomorrow.
As AHB's domestic schedule was the reason why we intended starting at El Vinos at 4pm, and AHB is no longer joining us, I suggest we move this event to TCP with a 6pm start time.
I am assuming that the lack of response to my request for someone to take charge of booking a table means that no one has, so I will do that this evening.
The theme for the evening is "Bring a bottle of Port wrapped in foil".
Known attendees:
OQ
THRA
RLC
RAYC
JDAW
DRT
Any more?

Derek: please could you make and print placemats?
Re: Monday 16th May 2011 - Oscar's in London
I can certainly print if that would help. I could also make, though my timings to 5.30ish on Monday are very tight so may delay my arrival by the time it takes me to muddle my way through the program - am still rather clumsy.

I will make but won't be able to print.
Rob, are you going to have sufficient time to print and get them to TCP by 6pm?

I wish I could join you, but work dictates otherwise.

The Boardroom @ TCP has been booked for 6 p.m.
The placemats are now with Rob for printing.

Say 'hi' to Oscar for me! I think I'll have a glass of Port with lunch so that I can join you in spirit.
