Hi Julian, Derek
super, thanks a lot. Since it is raining today do we not feel there might be a possibilty that a cricket enthusiast we know very well may join us in the evening? Despite he expected otherwise. But only if the cricket is "whitewashed" as I expect.

Re: Anything but vintage II
Is BMHR confirmed for this event? My reading of ‟assuming Thursday does not become the said event...I would be keen” is that he can’t come but I might be wrong.
If he is coming we will need to transfer to the tunnel on arrival.

Re: Anything but vintage II
The placemat request from DRT, by Skype IM, included ‟BMHR possible, so count him in”. If you wish to instruct otherwise, please do so unambiguously.

Re: Anything but vintage II
My post was intended as a question, rather than an instruction, and your answer is the sort of further information I was hoping would result, so no further instructions from me.jdaw1 wrote:The placemat request from DRT, by Skype IM, included ‟BMHR possible, so count him in”. PM sent to BMHR in the hope of eliciting something more definite.
Re: Anything but vintage II
I am quite confident that - by the end of the night - some use will have been made of BMHR's circle even if he can't attend!

Re: Anything but vintage II
BMHR the man (probably not there is already a spare) or BMHR the non-vintage Port (undoubtedly)? I guess ‟circle” means the latter.RAYC wrote:I am quite confident that - by the end of the night - some use will have been made of BMHR's circle even if he can't attend!
Re: Anything but vintage II
Plus a big thank you to jdaw1 for drafting and accomodating multiple subsequent requests....despite this tasting being attended by at least three people capable of producing it themselves!
Mind you, jdaw1 has no doubt learnt from experience that this is what happens when TPF admin is left to other people...

Re: Anything but vintage II
Regrettably I shall not be joining you tonight. I am still hopeful the main event might take place later this month as I do have a suitable candidate!

(Edit: seven-pointed star for seven people.)
- ”“BMHR the man;
- +‟+”, +‟â—Š”, +‟” ”, +‟★” (will that be enough?).

Re: Anything but vintage II
Other than WS1's speculation on the behaviour of the weather, has anyone received any indication from AHB that he might, in fact, attend?jdaw1 wrote:(Edit: seven-pointed star for seven people.)
I ask not from a place-mat perspective, but because those arriving early might want to decamp to the Tunnel (rather than squeeze 7 in the board room) if there is a realistic prospect of his attendance...

Re: Anything but vintage II
DRT cannot access TPF from work, but reports by email that printing will happen at about 16:30.
