Opened one week earlier and only two thirds full at start of tasting...
Not hugely giving on the nose (though served from ice bucket rather chilled) but a bit of mintiness and some citrus flavours, this was really delicious to taste - very orangey, very sweet, very smooth, typical nutty flavours as well. Well received in the tasting, this split the guesses perhaps more than any of the other "ports" drunk in the evening, but overlooked when it came to votes so crawling in 7th of 8 with 2 points.
I thought this was a great drop for a 10yr (i would not be suprised if the blend age was closer to 20 than 10) and is probably the only port tasted during the evening that i will actively look to acquire.

I thought this to be very tasty, smooth and delicious. I am therefore not entirely embarrassed with my guess, which was to some extent influenced by the fact I knew in advance that RAYC was bringing a VP, at it being Croft 1945

Presumably you will also be seeking some of this. If you find this pseudo-Cr45 at a reasonable price, please do let me know.DRT wrote:I thought this to be very tasty, smooth and delicious. for me this was a port that showed it was opened ealier in the wek. I felt it was a bit bland but as overall appearance still nice. However did not do it for me despite I was told it tastes like Croft 45.
