Mid-red in colour, 50% opaque. Lively raspberries and dark chocolate on the nose. Smooth entry, with a silky texture. Medium bodied, bringing fruit that shows signs of early maturity. Sweet but balanced by gentle acidity and with some soft tannins. Dry aftertaste, long chocolate and hazelnut finish. Lovely port, just entering the early stages of its drinking plateau. Guessed to be Dow 1991. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
