Decant: Decanted 24hrs before tasting
Sight: Medium dark port, not quite reached the slight amber edge yet though close.
Smell: Full fresh blackcurrants, some vanilla
Taste:
- Slightly sour edge on initial taste, but otherwise full flavour, lots of blackberries with some strawberries and vanilla. Quite spirited and had a long after-taste with a hint of cloves on the finish.
- After further 24hr, sour edge now almost gone; blackberries seem fuller, overall less spirited and smoother; still long after-taste though not picking up the cloves now.
- After further 1hr, none left
