Re: 1970 Martinez
Very full and spicy flavour, but ruined for me by VA. Possibly very good without the VA.

Re: 1970 Martinez
Mid red colour, pale rim; 40% opaque. Typical Martinez nose of candied cherry and huge perfume due to a slight touch of VA or perhaps bake. Restrained flavours on the palate, very sweet on the mid-palate with masses of candied cherry. Modest aftertaste and a soft finish of modest length. This is tasty port that makes for good, current drinking. 86/100.

Dull nose. Thick, very smooth and very sweet with some dry tannin in the finish. Excellent port, needs time in the decanter/glass.
