Apparently the health and happiness of young Anastasia (who is also mentioned in the thread entitled The arrival of Wiseman #3 and Wiseman #”“1) was apparently toasted with this excellent Port.

Light to medium in colour, minimal nose intially. In the mouth a lovely (slightly light) flavour, very smooth and slightly sweet. Very Good / Excellent.

Dark copper colour; 25% opaque. Sweet and mature on the nose, full of red licorice and nutmeg. Sweet entry with beautiful balance. Slightly harsh in the mid-palate, but this fades to allow an extremely elegant and balanced wine to show through. Spicy and sharp (in an attractive way) on the late palate and aftertaste. Sweet jelly-bean finish that fades quite quickly. Attractive and probably at its peak. 88/100.

Fig/damson nose - thick and chewy - very smooth, nutty and fully mature. Excellent port.
