I bought this in Napa from the winemaker, who is very famous for making cabernet (worked at Harlan, David Arthur, Merryvale, etc). When I couldn't locate my Warre 86 LBV, I decided to go with this as a blind surprise.
My notes, which are consistent with when I tasted it in california, read:
Smells just like Walnut Syrup. Like I want to pour this all over my pancakes (or omlette!). Has structure, but is obviously very different in style from the others. I liked it a lot (though at $75, it is perhaps not a re-buy). 89 points

I agree with the walnut syrup.
If someoen took some walnuts, stewed it to death, added welches grape juice and some lemons and some maple syrup. Bam.
