2007 Savedra

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Tedo, a small parcel of land that produces fine port grapes. Only 1200 bottles made. Black in colour, witha purple rim. Primary blueberries on the nose. Sweet entry, lovely licorice that stays in place while the tannins rip into the teeth and gums and deaden all the tastebuds. No prisoners here! The aftertaste is dominated by the tannins before a long, sticky finish appears. EUR 32 ex-cellars or EUR 72 at the cellar door. One of the best from the vintage. 94/100. Drunk 15 October 2011.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
