2007 Tedo vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From a vintage that gave high sugar levels and high acidity. Deep red, magenta rim; opaque. Still showing blueberries on the nose and the characteristic 2007 herbaceousness. Sweet entry, generous ripe fruit with tannins that are slow to show but then take firm control. Tannins dominate the aftertaste, and the finish is of strawberry licorice. EUR 22 ex-cellars or EUR 42 at the cellar door. 90/100. Drunk 15 October 2011.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
