1994 Graham vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Intense red colour, just starting to show a hint of brown in the rim; 95% opaque. Open nose, full of espresso, mint and passion fruit. Lovely texture, with the impact dominated by sweet fruit; a mid-palate dominated by the sweet fruit. The acidity and tannins are soft and superbly balanced with the fruit. Lingering fruit forward aftertaste, slightly dry from the tannins. Huge length, always dominated by the fruit. A fabulous wine. 96/100. Drunk 14 October 2011.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
