Good News (though generally not port related)!
Didn't know what part of the forum to announce this in, but I thought I would share with my TPF friends the happy news that I have recently become engaged to my girlfriend, Terry Chang!
For what it may be worth, we popped a bottle of D80 following the exchange of the ring for a "yes," and while neither my wine nor my woman was given a lot of time to breathe, both showed incredibly well!
We are to be married in New York at St. Patrick's Cathedral at 4pm (Eastern) on Saturday, the 9th of June 2012, and the church should have more than ample capacity should any friends in the neighborhood wish to honor us by participating in the ceremony.
Terry and I look forward to returning to London sometime in 2012, and I would love to introduce her to a 'bring a bottle blind' TPF/TCP experience.
Anyway -- I miss you guys and wish I could have shared this news in person (preferably over a glass of of sumptuous port!).
With Warm Regards From New York,
Chris
ps - pictures to follow!

Congratulations Chris!
That's because he doesn't exist. Derek's also known as "The Phantom Port Drinker". Ever noticed how he always mysteriously seems to have "lost" his tasting notes after a tasting....? That says enough.g-man wrote:you know,DRT wrote:Congratulations, Chris. I look forward to seeing you and meeting Terry at some point in 2012.
