Light red, 30% opaque. Subdued nose, showing a little fruit. Soft impact, with sweet fruit and cocoa tannins; surprisingly little acidity. Soft aftertaste with a gentle finish of good length built around the chocolate tannins and a hint of spearmint. Apparently one to drink sooner rather than later. 84/100. Drunk 1 Dec 2011.
I have had much better bottles of this - i have had three other bottles over last 18 months is usually a port in the 89-91 region for me. Whilst not one for super-long term cellaring, i would imagine this will still be good in 10 yrs *** (86)
