Re: 1977 Croft
Cr77: dark red, 70% opaque. Lots of tannin and structure. No fruit. The structure remains, but the fruit has gone. Lots of heat mid- to late-palate. Needs food.

Vegetable nose. Vegetables of the worst possible kind - Brussells Sprouts!! {yuck-icon}
Good weight and texture, but I can't get past that horrid nose.

Mid red, 30% opaque. Dominated by over-boiled coffee on the nose. Really not attractive! Modest light body; sweet orange flavours; attractive palate with good balance. Lots of orange, slight hint of tannin. Slight soapy tone to the afteraste, then a long but overly sweet finish. An acceptable wine, but not one to seek out on this showing. 83/100.
