Absolutely fantastic. A port that every port lover should rush out and buy from DRT!

OK. So the truth was a bit different - he wanted me to say that. Here's the truth:

From a black tasting glass. VA dominates the faint nose, unappetising over-ripe dates and bottle stink. Light weight body, tannins dominate the orange extract flavour but never overcome the VA flavours. Muddy birch dominates the flavour. Heat dominates the aftertaste. Lingering aftertaste of orange and barley sugar. Not very nice, but drinkable in an emergency. 68/100. Drunk 19 Jan 2012 after 12 hours decant.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
