It was very clear from the cork that this was 1955 Taylor. No surprise there. At D+20mins, glorious red, 40% opaque. Nose of sweet strawberries, perhaps both under-ripe and very sweet. To taste lots of structure, red sweetness, plenty heat mid- to late-palate (‟heat to the end and possibly past it”). Universally thought very good.

Suffering from a particularly nasty instance of the small-portion problem.
