1967 Croft Roeda
1967 Croft Quinta da Roeda
The Bunghole hosted us a second time within a week, this time for vertical of Croft, in the presence of Amanda of Mentzendorff. Links:

CR67: slightly more opaque than the Cr66, and an edge darker. But to taste definitely lighter, and perhaps a mite simpler. As with the ’66 the red non-cherry non-berry fruit that wasn’t quite a very sweet plum. Again like the ’66, no orange at all. Lovely, but junior to its older siblings.

VA nose, very similar to the 63. Cherry flavours with some tannic dryness but quite simple and a little flat in the finish.
I was surprised when I re-read this note this evening as I remember enjoying this port and might even have included it in my top 3 of the evening!

Deep red colour. VA shows and dominates the nose. Soft and silky texture, nice balance and lovely cherry flavours. Delicious white chocolate and raspberry finish; good intensity of flavour. Long finish; very tasty port. 88/100.
