Re: NV Croft Vintage Character
Cr V.C., bottled 1953: bizarre pink, slightly cloudy, 10% opaque. Nosing of candy, and very high-toned VA. Taste for me started with huge toothpaste (colgate?), then weird minty candy length.
My guess, not specific but accurate, was a very old non-VP.

Re: NV Croft Vintage Character
Bottled in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Very pale, light orange in colour and giving off an amazing smell of brown banannas when being decanted. 5% opaque. Gentle on the nose, nothing more than a bit of soft lime. Soft, sweet orange fruit on the attack, with the mid-palate hinting at being sweet but actually being quite dry. Bitter-sweet fresh orange zest, with a touhc of brown sugar. Delicious aftertaste and surprisingly long and powerful finish. Old and faded, but still drinkable. 82/100.
