Re: 1985 Martinez
Mz85, brought by DRT. Red-red-pink, 40%. Strawberry nose. To taste strawberry and heat, and other red fruit. Mid-weight, maybe mid-to-light, but good.

Re: 1985 Martinez
Generous red colour, very early maturity, 40% opaque. Nose needs a lot of coaxing, but shows some pepper and mace, but very little fruit. Sweet and thick in texture, gorgeous viscosity. Fruit is restrained and needs to be coaxed out but brings plenty of chocolate, chille and bitter red fruit. A big aftertaste leads to a tremendously sweet and long sticky finish with bitter dark chocolate wrapped in strawberry jelly. Pleasant, but will benefit from more time in the cellar. 85/100. 19 hour decant.
