F83, brought on my behalf by THRA. Initially, the nose was foul. I wouldn’t taste the juice. Foul.

Later I was persuaded to re-sniff, and the nose was a lot less foul. Not great, not even good, but maybe worth a taste. Then I re-sniffed and the foulness was back.

Bizarrely, THRA voted this his WOTN.

Although we were getting different results with different glasses here, there was a bit of lingering bottle stink, it having been a relatively short notice decant.

By the time it came to WOTN however, my glass was clear of off-notes, and it came over as a very well composed and fully mature wine, unlike the F85, which still needs a little more time.
