Df60, red, red-pink at edge, 30% opaque. Nose had lots of burnt sensations bonfire? and a hint of wood. To taste soft, lots of woody bitterness, especially on the tip of the tongue. Ending also soft. Much liked.

Later it became lighter, though remained excellent. I voted third place for WOTN: 1 point.

I was slightly confused about this wine until I understood the Croft connection...thanks to Nick for that...the nose was a distinct orange blossom and entry was a rush of sweet caramelised orange that mellowed into a delicious creamy long lasting finish...WOTN for me :D

Rose red core, pale rim; 25% opaque. Fresh oranges on the nose. Smooth texture, good thick body. Rich and unctuous on the palate. Big flavours, with lots of caramelized orange. Lovely bitter orange aftertaste and a big explosion of crepe suzette. Very sweet and impressive. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Reddy-orange middle, fading to peachy edge. Very earthy nose with some herbs and burnt orange. In the mouth, some spirit, then long aftertaste with some orange caramel. Very dry finish. Overall, very good and one of the best 1960s.
