1966 Warre

Postby jdaw1 » 18:50 Thu 03 May 2012

On Wednesday 2nd May 2012 Johnny Symington joined some regulars at The Bung Hole†, partly to show off the Graham 1952 Single Harvest Tawny. All this after a day spent at The Big Fortified Tasting.

† We are boycotting the corporately anodyne new name. Really, what snorey-dull person did that?

W66, brought by RLC. Nose had sweetness. Palate rich, soft, fully sweet, with mid-palate heat.

Bottled by Mayor Sworder. Mature, red colour - mid-maturity. Wonderful nose, full and vibrant. Delightful palate, lots of fruit up front and with supportive but soft tannins. Very spicy core to the mid-palate - really still quite lively. Long finish, drinking really beautifully. 92/100.
