1977 Calem VP

Post by StevieCage »

1977 Calem VP this looks old: pale tawny. Not a very expressive nose, light dried fruit aromas and caramel. Light bodied, sweet, with fig and rasin flavours. Long finish, unfortunately sharpish sweet, almost burning. Should have been drunk at least 5 years earlier.

Tawny colour, light. Slightly dusty nose, with mostly raisin and a tad alcoholic. Rather sweet tasting, but livelier than I expected from the nose. Some light strawberries and cream. Hot and short finish. Rather simple. Although still enjoyable, this was probably better 5 to 10 years ago.
