Opaque, deep red. Subdued nose. Lovely balance on entry, with strong tannins showing a firm grip but there is a lot of fruit under the tannin. Firm tannins grip on the aftertaste before a long, violet dominated finish. This is impressive port. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Good deep colour. Very muted on the nose. Grippy tannins.
