Re: Blind Emergency, Tue 10th or Wed 11th July 2012
I was given, some months ago, an unusual bottle. Unusual in the sense that I’ve never had anything from that shipper.
In my last week in Holborn, should it be brought to the Bung Hole? If yes, on which of Tuesday 10th or Wednesday 11th July 2012?
Location: The Bung Hole.
Theme: Blind Emergency (though sighted isn’t prohibited).
Date: TBD.
People: JDAW, DRT, perhaps others.

Either day is good for me...will await unanimous decision

AHB is in, but only on Tuesday 10th. So we have a day: first post being updated.

I'm afraid I'm on holiday, so will have to join virtually. Sorry!
Re: Blind Emergency, Tue 10th July 2012
You can’t be on holiday: I’ve almost fixed the swashing problem, and was planning to use FreebooterScript to demonstrate a job well done.

Hi,
I would like to come as well, so I can finally pick up the empty Dalva bt.

Sounds intruiging, but am sadly unable to make this one.jdaw1 wrote:I was given, some months ago, an unusual bottle. Unusual in the sense that I’ve never had anything from that shipper.

I'm in..
- will bring a curiosity that we have only once had at a tasting before, when half of those present thought it rather nice, and the other half hated it..
..this bottle will be from a different stash, that I've owned for nearly five years, yet have never sampled.
Beyond that, the bottle will be blind!

Out of interest as there has been no review, can someone say what were the curiosities?
Re: Blind Emergency, Tue 10th July 2012
Hi Phil,
I was very happy with a 1940 House port bottled in 1990 from Dalva (my favourite), followed by a Dow LBV 1962 bottled in 1966 and thrid by my Warre 1960 (english botteling reimported from the US).
