1912 Taylor vintage port
T12: bottled by John Lupton, and probably Taylor, but cork not recovered as Dirk N. wanted the bottle. 30% opaque, and the colour of 20YO tawny. Nose of VA. Taste started soft, then intense heat. Light, sweetness mid-palate. JDAW.

Re: 1912 Taylor vintage port
Bottled by Lupton & Son, believed to be Taylor (confirmed by the cork). Good red colour, watery rim, 20% opaque. Very slight bottle stink. Soft palate presence, gentle sweetness with very mild fruit flavours and soft acidity. A touch of early heat on the aftertaste and finish, with huge dominating the finish. After an hour in the glass, this had acquired much more focus and an even better finish. 89/100. 14-Jun-12. Pop 'n' pour.
