1980 Gould Campbell vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red, dark brown rim. Nosing of dusty lavender; Slightly soapy on entry, interesting texture; shows raisins and prunes on the palate and an odd acidity. Soap shows on the aftertaste, before the gently tingling black licorice finish begins. Odd, but not objectionable. 84/100. 09-Jun-12

GC80 very very dark elderberry red, 85% opaque. Big sweetness, with coffee throughout, and dark plums.   JDAW.
