NV Offley Tawny 30YO

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep brick red-brown, with a hint of green on the rim. VA from barrel maturation dominates the nose. The palate develops slowly, with some deep concentration lurking around. The acidity delivers a huge marmalade concentration of flavours. The aftertaste is gentle. This is less impressive than the 20yo shown alongside. 85/100. 10-Jun-12. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
