2001 Quinta de Roriz

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

An undeclared vintage that was not shipped but some bottles are held in library stock. Firm red in colour, with a centre that is almost opaque. Subdued on the nose, showing some soft black licorice. Sweet and delicious on entry, with soft, sweet brambles and rich blackberry. Soft tannins maintain a nice floral focus. Hot aftertaste, with a dry powdery texture and a long fruit finish. 89/100. 11-Jun-12. Pop 'n' pour
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
