1966 Ferreira

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Ex-cellars. Brick red, 30% opaque. Beautiful structure and texture on the palate—the perfect Ferreira elegance. Bountiful fruit, huge palate and terrific wine. Sweet, but balanced aftertaste and lovely, elegant finish. Fabulous—no hurry to drink. 92/100. 13-Jun-12. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Fr66: red-brown, 40% opaque. Dryness on the nose. Soft start, with cherries early, then heat mid-palate. Very very long. Very lovely. Mid-weight, wonderful balance. JDAW.
