NV Cruz Tawny 20YO

Post by DRT »

Served in the Porto Cruz restaurant on the north bank of the Douro directly opposite the Calem lodge in VNG. Consumed on a day out with some portheads on 30 Sep 07 reviewed here.

The bottle was the most expensive on the restaurant price list at 30 Euro

My TN from the day says "drinkable" - my memory of it is that it was light in colour and mouthfeel and was a perfectly servicable tawny, although not of the quality that one would expect from a 20 yr old. At the price it was hard to find a fault with it.

An acceptable and entertaining start to a very good day out
