1963 Offley

Post by g-man »

1963 Offley Boa Vista
A favorite of mine when i don't feel like the wood of a tawny, and not the fruitiness of some other houses.

dark amber hue with hints of garnet throughout just a very slight bricking around the edges.

nose of honeyed cinnamon, dried ginseng powder and a touch of anise.
the sherry like mouthfeel follows the nose getting more of the dried root spices with a black licorice linger that rings slightly spirity.

fantastic quaffing

92.

I've got one of these on death row at the moment - good to read an positive review.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I just had one of those recently and was surprised by the quality and freshness of the Port. A very good deal.
