Tue 23 October
Re: Tue 23 October
Can we do better than "Small 1963"?!
How about "Birthday ports for AHB - 1963" or some variant?

Re: Tue 23 October
‟Mid-Tier Producers’ 1963s”?
Re: Tue 23 October
Are these producers all mid-tier? Plus what if the unknown turns out to be Taylor?

Updated draft of the placemats.
- ‟A Few 1963s for Alex’s Birthday”.

Is the reason for this imprecision because you may yet be granted permission to attend....?jdaw1 wrote:‟A Few 1963s for Alex’s Birthday”

Very unlikely. And even if I were, I have no ’63 within reach.RAYC wrote:Is the reason for this imprecision because you may yet be granted permission to attend....?

That is not an insurmountable problem with 2 hours notice...jdaw1 wrote:And even if I were, I have no ’63 within reach.

Re: Tue 23 October
Is The Bung Hole a confirmed venue or simply the default parameter now in the placemat software?!

The Bunghole is confirmed, although we are (probably) not in our usual room but on the table in the corner.

Re: Tue 23 October
It is the default of the placemat software’s main user but not of the software itself. Here benread wrote:Is The Bung Hole a confirmed venue or simply the default parameter now in the placemat software?!
Though it’s not a bad idea. Why not write ‟The Bung Hole” rather than ‟London”?

Re: Tue 23 October
We are in the Office at the Bung Hole - that's the small room - tomorrow night. It's booked from 6pm.
Please update the Placemats to remove RAYC (work) and his Cockburn '63. Looks like it will be a small and intimate tasting.

Re: Tue 23 October
There's a small chance i might be able to make it out for a couple of hours between 7.00 and 9.00 tomorrow - enough to leave the bottle standing tonight, not enough to make a firm commitment.
Take me off the placemats but i now have a sliver of hope that i'll join you with the Ck for a short while.
Cheers
Rob

In the absence of a response I have decanted. It smells like Port.DRT wrote:Should I give the BI63 the same decant time as this one?
