1963 Offley Boa Vista vintage port
Light russet-red colour; quite pale and looking well evolved; 30% opaque. Delightful nose, fragrant and with sweet fruit. Delightful fruit on entry, with a dry and slightly bitter core and a fierce acidity. Delicious, long finish. This is very fine port, drying out slightly but with great finesse. 86/100. Drunk 05-Dec-12, on a pop and pour basis.
Drunk as part of the Eclectic offline on 5th December 2012 at the Bunghole, Holborn.

i wonder if the fierce acidity can be attributed to bottle variation. My bottle certainly had the drying component but was very well balanced.AHB wrote:Light russet-red colour; quite pale and looking well evolved; 30% opaque.
