1999 Sandeman Vau

Post by jdaw1 »

1999 Sandeman Vau, double-magnum (right)
Sandeman Vau 1999, in double magnum, drunk at the Annual Dinner of the Cambridge University Tiddlywinks Club on Saturday 26th January 2013. There were two double magnums, one labelled ‟left”, one labelled ‟right”. Alas it is not recorded which was XP012801 and which was XP012803.

This is tasting note for ‘right’.

SV99, at d+10h. Dark red, 80% opaque. Nose less closed than that of ‘left’. Taste sweeter, softer, and actually quite lovely. Long, and plenty of big red/black fruit. Too young. ‟✠“✠“✠“”.

Also see T55 and SV99(left).
