D77, decanted 17:45. Red-brown, 30% opaque. Nose stank. It took lots of swirling before I could taste it, when I noted lots of dryness ‟but nose foul”.

From magnum. Mature red-mahogany; 50% opaque. VA dominating the nose, but not to offensive levels. Perfumed palate on entry, infused with the effect of the VA. Lovely chocolate aftertaste, big and tannic length. Modest, mature and enjoyable but not quite right. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
