2005 Quinta de Roriz

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Young red colour, opaque. Pure blackcurrant on the nose. Silky entry, with lots of blackcurrant and ripe tannins. Sharp focus from the acidity and a lovely balance. Really good port, drinking nicely and not shut down yet. 91/100. 11-Jun-12. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Rr05. Big nose, damson jam. Lovely big fruit. Silky, but the lack of structure of concern.
