2007 Quinta de Roriz

1,000 cases made in the last year of the Symington / Van Zeller partnership. Deep magenta in colour, opaque. Youthful floral nose, but with some restraint. Slow to develop on the palate but a little patience allows lots of fruit to show, together with charcoal tannins and a streak of minerality. Lovely cocoa finish of great length. 88/100. 11-Jun-12. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Rr07. Like the Rr05, silky. Floral, and mineral, but too young for me to understand it.
