GM88, a dozen halves (six for DRT, six for me) recently removed from storage. Red, 50% opaque. Nose had dark fruit, perhaps mid-ripeness plum. Taste very sweet, with same dark-fruited note, big and full. Good length. There’s a slight hollowness distinguishing this from port of the very highest rank, but fine drinking juice.
I doubt that another ½ decade in storage will improve this, but as yet there’s no hurry to drink it.
Also see GM82.

Good info. Thank you.

If it is a pop-and-pour emergency, prefer this GM88 to the GM82.
Or, better still, open both, but start work with the ’88.
