Ck08: orange and cloudy. Nose had tawny. Initially I thought there was lots of smoke in the nose, BBQ smokey, and brown sauce. Then somebody helpfully remarked that the smoke smell was coming from the fireplace! Anyway, taste showed that this Port was too old. Hot, and a hint of VA. Soft, heat, not in great condition, but drinkable - JDAW, Jan 2013
Orange amber in colour, slightly cloudy. A mix of VA, nutmeg and blood oranges on the nose, but it is all rather restrained. Smooth entry, bringing lots of Golden Syrup developing beautifully on the palate. Still some green tannins and a distinct unripe grapefruit. Fierce grapefruit on the aftertaste before a long, dry marmalade finish. 93/100.
