1994 Warre LBV (unfiltered)
Traditional LBV, bottled 1998. Deep red in colour, opaque. Perfumed raspberries on the nose, opening beautifully in the glass to become really inviting. So sweet on the palate, full of violets and ripe blackberries. Still quite tight, but with a fabulous balance. Astonishing aftertaste, huge and long lasting with so many phases and nuances - this is a really good port that seems to only just be opening up again. I can't imagine what this will be like in 10 years time. Wow! 93/100. Drunk 31-Jan-13. Pop 'n' Pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

Fond memories of this one. The first port that I consumed in quantity when we first came to the UK in 2005.
