NV Marks and Spencer Tawny Finest Reserve

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Quinta & Vineyard Bottlers Lda. A 50ml bottle that came from an M&S port gift set containing a bottle of this, a bottle of finest ruby reserve, a bottle of fine ruby and a bottle of 2007 LBV.

On the nose this smells of toffee and coffee. Pleasant thick texture and medium weight on the palate with sweet dried dates and balancing acidity. The acidity burns on the aftertaste, but then gives way to a dense dried date finish of reasonable length. Perfectly drinkable. 85/100. 11-Jan-13. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
