Oscar visited London, so the team sampled some VPs and some stuff described as ‟brown sticky stuff”. Some were served sighted, some were blind.

Bottled in 1979. Honey brown centre and a pale rim. Empty nose, perhaps a bit of lemon. Fresh entry, full of sweetened lemon. Massive acidity on the finish and a huge length. Very enjoyable, but a bit lacking on the nose. 87/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
