Seemingly a compromised bottle (heat damaged? oxidised?), but i did not find this as offensive as some. Very strange tutti-frutti tropical flavour, light sugary texture. Not great, but i've had worse. 82?

Brown, with a hint of red; slightly cloudy, perhaps 20% opaque. VA dominates the nose with lots of bannana. Sweet in the mouth, delicately flavoured. Raisins and nutskins on the palate with gentle tannins that are refined and elegant. Long finish, although the tannins on the finish are green, but this supports a very fine and long length. Served blind this was guessed to be Dow 1970. 86/100.
