Popped and poured.
Unfortunately it was at a restaurant and I didn't bring funnel/filter.
Dark ruby color it would appear but cloudy with sediment and I couldn't see signs of bricking due to lighting.
Sweet baking spices on the nose with nutmeg, cinnamon, cedar and a candied cherries
Well integrated on the palate with no signs of heat at all. Medium bodied, mulled spices mixed with plums finishing with dried blood oranges
one of the better bottles I've had!
93.

Even though 5-pts off a previous score of 98 for this bottle?g-man wrote:

Do you think that one a fluke, or have you also amended your scoring system (I'm pretty sure i'm getting stingier over time)

Every time I think I'm getting stingier (which I'm trying to do), something like last Saturday happens and I give out 4 scores above 95.RAYC wrote:(I'm pretty sure i'm getting stingier over time)

and it was the dow tasting that had me thinking back that this was one of the better bottles but not the best perhaps some air time might have done it some justice.
I recall 2-3? months ago I had one with chris doty and that bottle was okay and the previous one i popped had more celery notes to it.

The last few of these from my collection have been rocking! One of the best 70's up there with Fonseca & Niepoort.
