2011 Quinta do Infantado

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

A nose that varied considerably over the 4-5 days that this port was sampled. Initially showing lots of sweet lavender but then closing up completely by day 5. At its best this had lots of freshly squeezed blackcurrants and crushed green leaves on the palate supported by modest tannins. Slightly watery texture. This is definitely a port to try again in 6 months when it will have settled after bottling. 89-91.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
