2011 Niepoort

Post by djewesbury »

We held our second 'Port of Belfast' event in a room at the Lyric Theatre. We were very pleased to be able to host a tutored tasting of Niepoort wines and ports with Nick Delaforce.

Ni11. My notes were becoming concise: 100% opaque; tanky nose. Taste very long, mid+ weight, and very long. It had evolved since the BFT.

Also concise. I didn't taste this very much; it was fruity and not dominated by alchohol, but had a different kind of heat, like a fruit compote.
